So I'm supposed to be at work soon for some training course bullcrap...Nope. Not happening.
In other news, I was really bored last night, so I took a narcicistic opprotunity to sit in photoshop and stare at myself...and alter some photos. Eh...
Basic stuff. Don't expect to be impressed. It just wasn't the goal. Lol.

Here is a GHETTO trailer of what will be a GREAT documentary of our insane trip. This footage came from my digital camera and it's crappy excuse for a video recorder...the entire trip? Over 60 mins of footage from a Digital Video, nice-ass camera which Danielle purchased when we arrived. It will be fun...but, I'm just looking forward to working on it. Lol.
Coming Soon.
PS - This trailer? Made in Windows Movie Maker. The documentary? Adobe Premier. Oh yes.

I thought this was the most touching thing. It's a blind student at school (UNF) playing piano in a practice room with his seeing-eye dog. And the kid was phenomenal. So awesome...

So, the other day my friends Maggie and Danielle asked me to go to New York City for a weekend. Being the planned-out, must-study, 6-months in advance, freak that I am, I originally said no. But, I bought a plane ticket yesterday, so I guess I've now said yes. Three weeks from right now, I'll be in New York. Strange? Still hasn't set in for me quite yet, but I'm begininning to really embrace the idea of spontaneity.
We fly out March 3rd : Come back March 6th. And being the crazy-go-nuts friend that I am, Alexis, I'll still make it back in time for your show. Unless you're playing a lame-ass Sunday brunch or something.
PS - Check out the newness.

Inspection 12 - French Subtitles |

Yea, so my grandmother felt the need to quit substituting last week.
Why?
Because the school board (Flagler County) told her she was no longer allowed to hug her students. Now, yes, this would be a bit odd in any normal setting. But, she only works with severely handicapped children/teenagers. So, basically, the Public School system expects her to assist a 16 year old boy in cleaning himself when he's finished using the restroom, yet she can't do something as simple as a hug...which makes these often neglected and ignored children feel better when they're at a school - when just being there, by default, forces them to realize their inabilities on a daily basis simply because they must see and interact with normal students everyday...which as any of us can imagine...is never a comfortable experience.
Both of her parents were deaf. She went to the University of Deleware, majored in deaf education, and has been doing work like this ever since.
Though she gets on my nerves nearly everytime I see her, I think this restriction is totally ridiculous. And the reason behind it all? It's considered "sexual harrassment." Please.
The kids who love her are losing something they need so desperately. Genuine care.
Agree/Disagree?

Other than that? School is fine. Work is just as stupid as ever. And...yea.

So I've resolved to the fact that no one reads my entries anymore. Or, if they do, comments have ceased for some odd reason. Oh well. Right now, I just want to give a big fat "Ha Ha" to everyone swarming around the UNF library at the moment, looking for an available computer. Yes, I'm doing something pointless, so your term paper can wait. In fact, just to visually piss them off, I think I'll go play a few games of Yahoo Pool. Yes.

Silence - Library |

Well, thanks to the University of North Florida, my Yellowcard experience sucked last night (for the most part). No one really knows what happened, but at the last minute, my stupid school decided they weren't hosting the show. So, it was moved to the drug-infested "Plush" for a period of 2 nights; last night and tonight. Although Plush is, in fact, a better "show" atmosphere, my back hurt so incredibly bad that I was just looking forward to sitting in our arena, next to the stage, and watching them play. Oh well. They still rocked incredibly hard...especially the first half of the show, since that's all I stayed for. Next, everyone (18+) was invited to the official after party down at the beach (Ocean Club). Kenneth and I rode by as their limos were pulling up, but sadly we only saw a couple band members and a few friends. Oh wait, that's because 75% of the audience at Plush was 16 and under. Auto-excluded much? We could have stopped in to "party with the celebs", but I'm sorry, they still don't seem that way to me, and we were tired anyways.
So, instead, still in the Yellowcard spirit, we took a cruise down Ocean Blvd. (which for some reason was experiencing a severe power outage...what a homecoming for the boys...enjoying your own bed after a few months on the road in a house with no lights/heat lol...speaking for Ryan at least, since he's the only for sure one who lived on the street that made them famous). After Ocean Blvd, still in the Yellowcard spirit, we took a short cruise down Cherry street. Lol...now, we were really feeling stalker-ish. So, to top it all off, we rode BACK by the Ocean Club, still to only see Ryan, Pete and couple others inside surrounded by a few friends. Hopefully more people showed up to watch them get trashed. Lol. Although, they may have enjoyed the calmness of it all.
Inspection 12 will be playing around Christmas again. Wow, what a surprise! But, things will hopefully look up for them soon, as they were just signed to Takeover Records...not a huge label, but at least something with the power to do SOMETHING.
It was a very "Jacksonville" evening.
And please, Sean and Ryan...we all realized you were "home." I know you both felt the need to say it a billion times, but we've all completely gotten over "Rock Star Land" and your wish to "go there and never come back." It's okay. Forgiven.
And Pete? The Piano/Violin opener was genious. I'm sure it was your idea anyway.
